Single-handed, white sail race designed to test the skills and endurance of the skippers. Single race event held on a long distance course. All boats with a valid SLVYRA are invited.

PCYC Annual Regatta

PCYC Annual Regatta

One day event held on a around the buoys format. Divisions will be determined as per the SLVYRA PHRF classes and scored separately. This regatta also open the 2022 GNS SailWeek Series.

This regatta is followed by a special Regatta Meal by our Chef Andrew. All members and guests are welcome.

Our Chef Andrew will prepare a special Regatta Meal (all members and guests are welcome). 

A musical performance will be offered to you by our Open Mic musicians in the evening. Anyone who wishes to demonstrate their instruments and/or singing talent is most welcome and encouraged to do so. You may contact Jan Krejcar (jan.krejcar@mail.mcgill.ca) in advance if you wish.

Mirage Cup

Mirage Cup

Multiclass one day regatta with 2 races planned, the first on a short course, and the second on a longer course.

The event is open to all keelboats and centerboards from SLVYRA member clubs. Boats entered must have a current SLVYRA handicap.             

Mirage Cup division: Any keelboat with a valid SLVYRA handicap.

Mirage Trophy division: Any centerboard with a valid Portsmouth Yardstick handicap.

Pirate Race

Pirate Race

The spirit of the Pirate Race is to have a fun/thematic family-oriented day both on and off the water. 

  • 9h45:  Competitors meeting on the patio (general instructions, costume sharing, group photo)  
  • 11h00:  Warning Signal 
  • 13h00:  Reception on the terrace with punch, very simple BBQ (hot dogs, chips, salad)
  • 13h30 : Award ceremony

The Peter Kelly Fireball/Screwball Memorial Regatta

The SCREWBALL regatta is open to Fireball class dinghies exclusively. This regatta held over 2 days with multiple races, is raced on typical courses to the Fireball class.

The SCREWBALL is held in memory of the late Peter Kelly who was a great contributor to the development of young athletes and a great inspiration to the PCYC members.

Pas de Deux Race

Pas de Deux Race

One of the last regattas of the season, the Pas de Deux regatta is a double-handed white sail regatta held on a long distance course around SLVYRA marks. The start is given on a pursuit format which makes it an exciting event until the end. Individual awards are given and an award is also attributed to the club that has accumulated he most points.
