The Mobility Cup is fast approaching. Here is an overview of what will be happening.

AUGUST 25-29
The date is fast approaching!  Get ready to welcome sailors and volunteers from across North America for an exciting week of racing and social activities.   Here is an idea of what the week will look like:

Friday, August 22nd:
– A 30’ X 50’ tent will be installed in the yard on the fence along Cartier Ave.
– Two accessible porta-potties will be installed between the tent & the sail shed
– Access to members’ parking lot will be limited (details to follow)

Saturday, August 23rd
– Arrival in the parking lot of 2, 53-ft CN containers delivering boats from Vancouver & Halifax (containers will be moved offsite for the week)
– Rigging & launch of boats (AQVA dock & North dock
– Sunday, August 24th • Arrival of boats from Ontario, rigging & launch
– Sailor & volunteer registration

Monday, August 25th
– Sailor & volunteer registration
– Skippers’ meeting & practice races
– Opening ceremony under the tent  (17:00)

Tuesday, August 26th
– Start of races
– Mobility Cup barbecue

Wednesday, August 27th
– More racing
– Thursday, August 28th • More racing
– Mobility Cup banquet at the Royal St. Lawrence Yacht Club

Friday, August 29th
– Last day of racing
– Closing ceremony & awards under the tent (17:00)
– Haulout
– Possible closure of parking lot to make space for CN containers

Saturday, August 30th
– Arrival in parking lot of CN containers to be reloaded

Sunday, August 31st
– Parking lot partially reopened to members

Tuesday, September 2nd
– Removal of tent and porta-potties 

A number of volunteers will be arriving from across Canada and will be staying in small RVs and camper vans in the club’s parking lot, as well as on boats which PCYC members have generously offered to share.
