Yacht Racing for Beginners Seminar

Welcome to the 2026 edition of our Yacht Racing for Beginners Seminar.

This seminar will provide a foundation on basic sailboat racing for those who wish to embark on their first competitive event. The seminar aims to instill confidence in participating as either skipper or crew in local club events with sufficient understanding of:

• Race organization
• Entering an event
• The start line and starting a race
• Getting around the course
• Basic racing rules
• Finishing & scoring

This seminar will also prove advantageous for those with limited experience in sailboat racing.
