Our Adult Continuing Education Program<\/strong> gives members ongoing access to a fleet of club boats, allowing them to continue honing their sailing skills in a flexible, self-directed environment. Once enrolled, members may skipper a keelboat (Shark 24 or Tanzer 22), or a dinghy (C420), gaining valuable experience across different boat types and sailing styles. This program supports the development of strong boat-handling, sail trim, and seamanship skills while building confidence and independence on the water. Members also have the opportunity to race these boats, providing an excellent platform to improve boat performance, teamwork, and tactical decision-making in real sailing conditions. Whether focused on refinement, performance, or simply gaining more time at the helm, this program encourages continued growth and enjoyment of sailing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members may enroll in one of two programs. The Latitude Program<\/strong> is designed for members who plan to use the boats infrequently and prefer flexible, occasional access. The Longitude Program<\/strong> is intended for members who sail more frequently and wish to enjoy regular, ongoing access to the fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TANZER 22 \u2013 \u201cPENICHE\u201d \u2013 Cruiser\/Racer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


This Tanzer 22, with a track record of racing victories, boasts one of the largest cockpits in its class, comfortably fitting up to 6 adults. It\u2019s a boat that sails very easily and handles very well in a fresh breeze. Equipped with the high performance rudder, various headsails and spinnaker.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

CLUB 420 – DINGHY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


This dinghy is a popular sailing boat well suited for racing. It features a fiberglass hull with internal buoyancy tanks, a Bermuda rig, a spinnaker, and a trapeze. Two are available for our members. NOTE – for safety reasons, 420s are available only during Tuesday GNS races and Friday TGIF races.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all members, please note that there are a few prerequisites that must be met before taking these boats out on the water:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility:<\/strong> <\/strong>Members with suitable and reasonable sailing experience are welcome to access these boats. Additionally, graduates (PCYC members) from our Adult Keelboat (and Dinghy) Sailing Course are also eligible to enjoy this privilege. To race Mussels, individuals should possess prior racing experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proficiency Check:<\/strong> All members interested in sailing these Club Boats must undergo a proficiency check to demonstrate their sailing skills and knowledge of safety procedures. The thoroughness of the proficiency checks will vary according to each members experience level and their chosen boat. This check will be conducted by any one of our experienced team members to ensure that everyone is capable and confident on the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsible Sailors:<\/strong> We expect all members to adhere to the highest standards of safety and responsibility while using these boats. This includes following all club rules and regulations, respecting other sailors and watercraft, and practicing good seamanship at all times. All users must read the Guidelines for Sailing a Club Boat.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
